America is Dying. Won't Someone Save Her? Please!

According to the TSA, Obama, and Big Sis there isn’t any better way to handle airport security than the current methods employed. Sadly many Americans have come to agree with them. Statements of “They have to scan us and pat us down to keep us safe are common”. It amazes me how quickly and easily a people will give up their freedoms and liberties. If I would have told any of you 10 years ago that strangers would fondle your genitalia looking for “whatever” you’d have said I was insane. If they would have told me how easily Americans would submit I would have called them insane. Now, because I think they have gone to fare there are those that think that I am insane. Well let me remain insane but let me do so without the government seeing me naked or touching my junk.

How is it that a people who can find their way to the moon and back, who can find cures for all sorts of ailments cannot find a way to sort out evil entering our country? Well we can. We have been told that it must be done under the TSA or Napolitano’s rules. It must be politically correct and offend no foreigner. It can offend and degrade every American just no foreigners. Excuse me. This is my country and I will fight for my liberty as long as I am able. The 4th Amendment of the Constitution guarantees me:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated; and no Warrants shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized

.

My government doesn’t currently think much of my rights. One might argue that this government is not really my government, not the one that bids loyalty to the Constitution of These United States. I propose that they are but a shadow of the real thing with intent and purpose to subordinate me to comply with their wishes. Not as long as I breathe. I am not alone in this nor do I see this deceptive ploy of “protecting me” as legitimate. Will it be legitimate when they employ these same rules on shoppers in a mall or those strolling down the streets? Is it such a far leap to go from groping granny in the airport to scanning children entering schools? Surely there is danger in the schools, and in the streets and everywhere. Will you think it okay when they call you from your home or job and ask you to comply with their harmless scans? What will you say when they determine that these scanners will make subways safer? Will you still see nothing wrong with their intentions?

America I implore you to realize that in just a few weeks the government went from having their hands in your pockets to in your pants. There is little that can stop them but you. I do not have all of the ways that they could prevent terror to arrive on our shores. I do know a ruse when I see it.

The Forecast: Snow Flurries!

What can be written about America today that hasn’t already been penned and far more eloquently than I? Yet there is something that needs to be restated and planned for. Let us consider hard times.

As a young man I remember the old people talking about how far they walked and through how many inches of snow. I made fun of them asking if it were uphill paths both ways. I am not laughing now and I haven’t been for years. I found out for myself. You see I have been flat broke in my life 3 times. Been there. Done that. Got the “T” shirt. For various reasons, three times I found myself with a few boxes of clothes, pots and pans, and little else. In those days you did not ask for nor expect charity. You found a way. The kids need to eat so you find a way. The family needs a house so you find a way. You don’t have a car to drive to find work so you find a way. It wasn’t easy but it was what it was.

Yes I did accept some charity. When folks from the church showed up at the door with food and there was none in the house my pride took a beating and then we ate dinner. Through the Grace of God my wife and I survived those days. We laugh about them but we don’t desire to revisit them. Still; we can go there again if the need arises. I am not all that worried about us but rather the young people: your kids and my kids. My kids were there but they were kids and that doesn’t qualify them for a passing grade in the School of Hard Knocks. A bad day for them was not having the latest fashion jeans or tennis shoes. Thank God, but my kids have never really felt the effects of BROKE. To them broke is overdrawing at the ATM until Friday. I suspect that is true for you and yours.

It has been such a long time since Americans in numbers have had hard times. What we are having these days doesn’t even qualify. On the other hand, when I think about America’s future I see real hard times coming no matter what happens in Washington now or this fall. Sooner or later the nation’s debt will have to be paid. One of these days the fifty percent who work will no longer be able to pay for those who don’t. Real people know there is no free. What happens when there isn't money for unemployment and you've become accustomed to it? What about when welfare ends? Food stamps? ADC? What the government gives they took from someone. There are less someones every month now. Questions these days aren’t whether the government will be taking more. That is for certain. We have made it possible. We put them in charge and the put our minds to something else; too tired to be bothered with the details.

Now we find ourselves with a President who thinks too much of himself and too little for the American people. He spends and spends. He spends government money: your money and he spends his money; more of your money. Nothing that he has that he has not taken from the people. In fact he sees it as his divine and destined role; to take and disperse as he sees fit. It is not only he but vast numbers of Americans and most of Congress believes that government is supposed to provide things. If we are hungry the government is the food pantry. If we need clothing they are Nordstroms ‘cause we don’t want no Walmart clothes. They are there to make everyone equal and millions believe that they can actually do it. Yes. Millions and hundreds of millions of Americans believe that socialism can work here and now though it has failed everywhere it has ever been tried. Obama believes he can make it work and he has many of you believing in him.

Now suppose the government switches direction and away from the socialism idea? Then what? Well there are still going to be hard times. You can’t spend money you don’t have and not have consequences. Those who still believe that, go stand on the other side of the room with the unicorns. Either way we have to face some hard times. The main differences are will we all be pulling in the same direction or will we be divided and pulling every-which-a-way? Will you be slaves to your government or will you be free? Free and poor or in bondage and poor? There is a choice but you may have to walk uphill, both directions, through countless inches of snow.

I believe there is snow in the forecast. All of us old fuddy duddies are expecting it.

Inch by Inch: Muslims Take Over America

For months I have been saying that the Muslim agenda is to take over America. Please look at this...



Now you don't have to be a Christian you just have to be a Muslim. Sharia law will use our laws to sujugate us in our own Nation. America please wake up. Readers please share this with others. I don't care if they come to my page but only that they come to understand that America is under seige from within and it includes Government. Are the police not government? How high does this go? How long will we wait?

What Would Jefferson Do?

With all that has happened in the last year and ½ you can be sure that the founding fathers have rolled in their graves. I’ve recently found it useful to suppose what Thomas Jefferson might write if he were alive today. While I cannot pretend to write with the genius he possessed, I can put to paper the spirit of what he would say; or at least my impression of it. The following is my analysis of his words, and what he might say today including his encouragements to us.

When Thomas Jefferson wrote that, "experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable" he shows his understanding of the nature of the human being. Apart from faith, few have the courage or the foresight to stand against 'evils' that are sufferable. Any human with some life experience can see how these changes to America have come about: little by little. A little suffering now becomes more over time. Abuses by government that cause this suffering only increase. They will continue to increase until the American people “right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.” Those “forms” of suffering are the abuses of power, the increase of taxes, the failure to respond to the will of the people, and the increase in government to the point that We the People have become the servants of the government instead of they serving us.

As Jefferson so eloquently put it, “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”. It is we that institute government. It is we that empower this same government, and it is we that are ultimately responsible for managing that same government. We have failed ourselves in allowing our government to deteriorate to this point. How long have we known that our government was driven by special interests, kickbacks, and pork barrel spending? How long have we endured elections where we choose the lesser of the evils? How long have we suffered under government mismanagement and wasteful spending and how much longer do we plan to allow this? Did we not know that the governments “get their just powers from the consent of the governed”? Instinctively we know this. We have lost our way and our wily leaders have been illuminating our paths with their darkness. To this we must accept responsibility.

Consider this. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain or even recalling when their suffering first began. So often we recall only the moment when a pain became quite unpleasant. I contend that few people are not aware of the gradual onset of pain, or of change, or of wrongdoing. History teaches us that people will often be led away by the thousands by a measly handful of armed soldiers. It is within us, our very natures. We tend to hope for the best and believe what we will; waking only when hope is on the precipice of eternity. Unawares we find ourselves being led off by whomever will take our hearts, minds, body and hopes hostage. Obama and this congress are such a government and Americans may just be such a people.

We all hope, and rightly so, that some peaceful process will turn away this evil that has befallen us. Everywhere there are those crying out that America is in great trouble but millions of Americans continue on with little or no awareness to the seriousness of our times. We must awaken them. Surely I now understand how bizarre the prophets of old must have seen the future as it became the present all transpiring amidst their cries of alarm; the people remained lost in their own pursuits. While not a prophet, I have foretold these events and have been calling out for more than a-year-and-a-half now and others led the way before me.

It is completely within the nature of the human race to ignore the obvious. We do the things that are bad for us and ignore those things which would aid us. We seek riches rather than wisdom, and progress rather than serenity. We chose between the lesser of evils until the choices were no choice at all. Then we blame the evildoers for being evil. But what can we do? Read on.
Truly there is a great difference between our Founding Fathers and the Leaders of today. We citizenry have neither the spine nor stomach for the job currently set before us and so many ignore it. Those who don’t ignore it feel powerless. The question asked by millions of Concerned Americans: What can we do? While the specific answer to that question is yet to be decided here is what we cannot do;

We cannot sit by and wring our hands as if nothing can be done and we are hopeless.
We cannot remain silent because of fear that we will offend someone with the truth.
We cannot allow wrongs to go unchallenged or uncorrected.
We must face evil and call it what it is.
We must shed our fear. Yes this new fascist government is watching you and wants you to be afraid; afraid of your own voice and beliefs. Owning that fear is to be their slave.

We cannot cower to tactics of intimidation and accusations of racism. Certainly there are racial aspects to the Obama presidency but neither opposing him nor his goals is of itself racist. These are the tools of the manipulator and a manipulator will not cease their efforts to control others. Yet we control ourselves if we choose to.

We must reaffirm ourselves to the Constitution of the United States and wearing the breastplate of the Declaration of Independence; we must once again refuse to be governed by those who are not responsible to us:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

These words the Declaration of Independence (emphasis added by me) clearly mirror the level of frustration that much of America now feels and millions more will soon endorse. It is not we that have chosen to be governed by such but rather that they have misrepresented themselves to be something that they are not and have shown by their actions to be altogether undesirable. As such, congress and its many offices have betrayed the American People; led by a president who himself has established his character by his lying and deceitful ways. To these things we are now conscious.

To this end I know that Mr. Jefferson would call for the dispelling of all of these beguilers and to the renewing again of America with committed servants, not tyrannical bureaucrats. Obama may govern those who desire him yet neither I myself nor any that I know desire his leadership. Moreover is the case with both houses of Congress. We have lost our faith in congress. As for me, my loyalty is to my God and my Country, in that order, and neither to this man, nor to his legions of minions. Within that Constitution these loyalties do not exclude each other, even though this presidents’ seeks to have a secular government with loyalties of his making and as this defiant congress would dictate. I myself have given oath to the Constitution of these United States of America and pledged my allegiance to my country, something few in Washington now find honorable and some even openly denounce.

Furthermore, considering that this president now risks our National sovereignty and security should he not be immediately abrogated? Again I refer to The Declaration of Independence, “Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes”. Yet change is his sole purpose. He did openly state that under him America would undergo “fundamental change” and yet his intentions were couched in specious language. True to that pledge, Obama has assaulted and attempts to breach the very foundations of America beginning with disregard for The Constitution of the United States of America. To these ends we have, “have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.” Yes again quoting Jefferson and considering the actions of Americans who have written often to their representatives, and petitioned publically on the steps of their offices and even at the steps of congress only to be treated with disdain and disrespect by all branches of the government and the President himself; who calling American Patriots “tea baggers” ,“extremists”, “right-wing radicals”, and “the minority of Americans”. To this extent Obama and Congress has ignored those instruments which publicly poll and state that the majority of Americans oppose his policies. Amidst the appeals of this nation he has chosen to follow his wishes and to manipulate law to benefit his personal goals and ideals; cowering to those surreptitious organizations such as SEIU, ACORN, MoveOn.org, etc…. To this “We the People” freely choose to exercise our rights in asking that he, Barack Hussein Obama, cease and desist of all his official duties and resign the high office he has so brazenly disgraced making himself “unfit to be the ruler of a free people.”

And so to this 111th Congress we state:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

And that…

“to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”

Regarding which you have repeated denied our voices choosing rather a path and ambitions of your own making for your own reasons thereby rendering yourselves useless as representatives of the people. While not expected, we encourage you to do the honorable thing, resigning your office and surrendering all authority back to the people you have so failed. Failing that “We the People” do hereby exercise our right to choose from within our number from within our own states as afforded by Our Constitution of these United States.

It is not within us to disrespect the High Office of president of these United States or to the Congress which is to serve this great nation. Be that as it may by your own actions and words you have disgraced this people and this nation deeming yourselves unfit. Show yourselves honorable enough to withdraw while this Republic remains intact, averting further division and instability to our badly bruised Nation. Realizing that you have lacked courage, honor, and integrity until this very day, “We the People” are prepared to wrest your power from you by whatever means necessary and available to us. May God bless America.

I can almost hear Mr. Jefferson now. Do you?

Being An American...

According to the latest estimates, Caucasians will be a minority in America sometime around 2040. Sounds like a long time off but the years between 2000 and 2010 passed like a blink of the eye. It is not that I mind being a racial minority. I guess I knew that someone is always on the lesser side. I have come to ponder that the very thing that made America great may now be the thing that irreversibly changes us. The world gave us her poor, tired and hungry and they now want America to be more like where they came from.

My first awareness to this phenomenon was when we lived in California. Among the many things that you can say about California is that it is a very diverse place with peoples from all over the world. I seem to remember that the voting ballots in California were printed in 27 languages the year that I left there. It seemed odd to me that English was no longer a requirement for voting. Not that I want to deprive anyone but we have just become so accommodating that we had lost something that unified us.

I tend to think that people are united or divided along socio economic, cultural, religious and language lines more than along racial ones. Some racial groups tend to try and maintain the purity of their races as well as some religions. I can remember when a non-Catholic would have to convert to marry a Catholic. Gentiles almost never marry Jews but interracial marriages are so common that no one thinks anything of them.

One hundred years ago there were less immigrants and those that came were seeking this America that was known around the world. We accepted people who accepted us. If you wanted to become an American we wanted you regardless of where you come from. Today we still accept you, even if your commitment is to only living here and not being one of us. So many of you wish to keep your culture, your language, and your race pure by isolating yourselves here. You live in America but you are not American. You haven’t been taught nor do you have the love for what made us special. Our Constitution is not sacred to you and you know nothing of how we got here. All you know is that we opened our doors and you came in.

I don’t blame you. It is we that allowed, even made this to happen. We continued to lower the standards of our educational system until we no longer lead the world but lag far behind. We found your countries could make our products cheaper and so we gave up our jobs in favor of profits. We make so little here anymore but we buy everything and our very economy is based upon us continuing to buy what we do not make with money that is printed but has little value. It was we that chose to believe lies rather than to stand for the truth. We have tolerated abuses when times were good because it was easy. Surely, we set ourselves up for this but we did not see it coming. We were too busy enjoying the good times.

To all of America I say that the answer lies in our past. The ideas of this modern age is not what will make America great again but rather the old ideas. Those who came here to enjoy Americas bounty must now learn where that came from. Those of us who know must return to those values. Those who would have us go the way of the rest of the world should leave here and return to that world. It is our Constitution that made us all free. It was that same Constitution that made everyone come here seeking liberty. And, it is that Constitution that can return us to greatness. It is not our differences that are dividing us it is our lack of a common belief. No other nation has survived, even excelled like the United States of America. It is our Constitution that made that possible and it is our Constitution that will restore us.

So what lies before us is the continued greatness of America as a Nation. Any other choice is unacceptable. Will you be an American or merely a resident alien? You don’t have to be from someplace else to be un-American.

The Barry O Show on every friggin' channel...

Okay so they caught Obama with a copy of GQ featuring himself on the cover. Does that make him vainglorious? Of itself, probably not but his habit of running to the TV camera every-time he has something to say is a bit much. He pardoned a turkey and made and appearance to tell us how committed he is.

Yet, General McCrystal has been waiting months for an answer to his troop request and he can wait just a bit longer so Barak can reveal to the world his long awaited strategy on Tuesday evening during primetime. As I understand it, it will be a 45 minute speech complete with an exit strategy. Perhaps he plans to talk the Taliban and Al Qaeda to death. In the meantime the Brits are looking for their own exit strategy of having lost confidence in America’s prosecution of this war.

Add to this the upcoming Oprah-Obama Christmas special and let the self-aggrandizing behavior abound. Dang. Forgive me if I chuckle out loud just a little at this: “Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special”. This festive soiree will include interview with the president, a conversation with the First Couple and tour of the White House. Oh goodie! We get one of our presents early. Be sure to set your clocks to snooze. All this news comes on the heels of Oprah’s 18 month notice that she will be quitting her show. Perhaps she and Barry will change jobs as she has been so actively involved of late in politics and he in TV.

My dad used to say that Fish and House Guests both begin to stink after 3 days. While not exactly parallel to Barry’s situation I do admit his incessant presence on my TV stinks to high heaven. Barry if you are listening shut up already and do something that helps us. We don’t want to see your face we want to see jobs and smaller government. We want honesty and transparency. We want our freedoms and we want to keep what we earn. We want to be charitable on our own without your dictates and we want to worship God, in public, without shame, legally, and not according to the wacky few. We want a Republic and we want Health Care reform that isn’t loaded with your Socialist agenda.

You know I said we want. Let me rephrase: We insist! We even demand it!

Obama: Calculating and Controlling

All of us have known someone who is a “Control Freak” and it may be we ourselves. Those who are the Controllers are under the impression that their ideas, methods, and procedures are the best way for things to be seen, done, or avoided. For those who are associated with these controllers, all their time is spent anticipating or being frustrated by the lack of freedom Controllers cause. Whether intended or not, it is extremely unpleasant to want to exercise a personal freedom, an opinion or an idea only to have it squashed by the nay saying of the controller. Even the control freaks freak-out when their ideas are challenged.

I think it would be fair to say that all of us want to control things to some degree dependent upon the situation. It is probably fair to say that we gravitate toward people who allow that freedom and avoid people who wish to control us. To the casual observer the people we choose to associate with or not to associate with may not be all that obvious. This brings me to the point of my article and that is the current style of the Government under Obama is toward control.

Anita Dunn was the White House communications chief until she stepped down on November 10th. In a famous video Anita talked about the Obama machine’s methods to “control the media.” She states:

"So it was very much we controlled it, as opposed to the press controlled it. And it did not always make us popular with the press. But we increasingly by the general election very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control.”

Now aside from her Maoist infatuation she tells us what the Obama administration was and is all about: control. This seems particularly specific to information and Anita and the White House became embroiled in a dispute about Fox News’s rights and legitimacy as a news organization. It appears that since Fox News couldn’t be controlled they had to be castigated.

There is an old saying about how a business gets and keeps its customers. “How you get them is how you keep them.” I think it an apt proverb for what we see as the tactics of this administration. Normally it is used to reflect upon service or quality. If you get your customers by good service you will keep them the same way. Not only is this the way to achieve your past results but to guarantee your future as well. So, if the Obama approach to winning America’s voters was to control the information they receive it is likely that they will continue to do the same. Actually, everything points toward this very thing.

Recently the Democratic Party of congress has gone toward this very same tactic of controlling information by holding secret meetings and locking meeting rooms to all but the chosen few. Even Nancy Pelosi’s recent press conference on Healthcare Reform was an “Invitations Only” event. Republican staffers were expressly excluded yet the guest list included scores of SEIU and Acorn members. Harry Reid went behind closed doors and refused to let the “other side of the aisle” into committee. All of this brings us to a very serious question. What is wrong with truth that would hurt us?

As recently as this morning, Obama has exhorted that Congress should not investigate the “Fort Hood Shootings”. He claims that it is too soon. Too soon for what? For whom? What harm could possibly come from investigating what transpired to allow 13 Americans to die and 30 injured. As an aside that 13 dead doesn’t include the unborn child that that murdered woman was carrying. No one has yet had the courage to call that murder. Ask the expectant father if when his wife was killed did he lose just a wife or a son or daughter as well. A brief Internet search revealed that 4 high profile murders where a mother and unborn child were killed resulted in 2 charges of murder and not one. Why not at Fort Hood? I could only speculate what Obama told Gates to tell the Generals at fort hood.

Someone very famous once said, “You shall know the truth and the truth will make you free.” They are so profound that they are engraved on the U.S. Supreme Court building in D.C. and they come from the one that so many would deny the right to worship him: Jesus.
So I guess you could say that when it comes to “O” I tend to think he is a little freaky…a super freak…when it comes to controlling. As for me I would find someone else’s company more refreshing.

America is a Christian Nation

God is alive and well in America.
For some the issue of religion is a difficult subject. Still, there is no denying that the US was founded using Judaeo / Christian principles. To this day we are a largely Christian nation and the polls bear this out. One of the most wonderful concepts found in Judaism and Christianity is the concept of Grace. It is this concept of Grace that gives America its religious tolerance. It is what makes it possible to believe whatever you like and remain here. Tell me that exists in other nations and I will show you a basically Judaeo / Christian nation.

Tolerance is what makes it possible for agnostics and atheists to believe or not to believe whatever they want. It is this tolerance (Grace) that made it possible for Jeremiah Wright to preach his gospel of hatred and do so without fear of reprisal. In America you can believe whatever you like. You can even believe that we are not a Christian nation as stated by president Obama: albeit incorrectly.

On this Judaeo / Christian foundation a nation was built that prospered as no other in the history of man. Doubtless, America is the greatest nation on earth. Yet, even now Grace is at work allowing every citizen of this great nation to believe as they wish. For some that is not enough. For some they must have control and every American must be forced to believe as these people do. They are forever bringing lawsuits to take God out of schools, out of the Pledge of Allegiance, and out of the very fabric of our culture, if that were possible.

In my thinking I am content to let you believe whatever you like. That is, until what you believe begins to infringe on my right. Once you cross that line then I no longer am bound to think kindly of you. You are no longer allowing “live and let live” but are trying to dictate life on your terms. This is totally unacceptable, not only to me but to millions of Americans. To be sure, we will stand up against you.

You do not have to pray my prayers nor worship my God. You will however respect my right to do so wherever I go and as I see fit within the bounds of Grace. When you wish to remove God from my schools, my books, my government, or dare say my Constitution you shall find a much less graceful adversary.

Be advised. I and millions of Americans choose to leave peaceably with all men. Take it at that, but be not deceived. We will stand for God and Country. In our minds it is God that gives us Country. Should you find this hard to hear let me suggest one thing. Trying to destroy Christian principles is to destroy your freedoms. That’s insane.
